In-Service Culinary Support
After a week of intensive training during our Culinary Boot Camp, school food service workers return to their kitchens with new found inspiration to make improvements in their kitchens and to implement many of their lessons learned.
With support from a s’Cool Food Chef Advisor, kitchens receive hands-on support in integrating new recipes, more efficient production methods, and local ingredients into their programs. Culinary support includes recipe testing and development, menu planning, improvement of food safety and sanitation practices, and continued instruction of institutional production methods. With a bird’s eye view of a school district or individual kitchen’s practices, our Chef Advisors work with school district employees to identify and overcome obstacles that stand in the way of scratch cooking.
